USS Texas (BB-35)

The USS Texas is a New York class battleship built for the United States Navy. She served in both world wars, thous she saw no action in  the First. She served as a technological testbed for the Navy; she was the first battleship to launch an aircraft, as well as the first to use fire control systems. After the end of World War Two, which saw her participate in the landings in North Africa, Normandy, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, she was the first US battleship to become a museum ship.
